What is Monacos in Motion?

We are an international Chapter of the Family Motor Coach Association. We provide a friendly, inexpensive way for our members to share their favorite haunts, sights and experiences with others.  Our members design and lead caravans for other members to explore various parts of North America.  The typical caravan (if there is such a thing) is about fifteen coaches and lasts two to four weeks and has approximately four to eight stops planned.  Costs are minimized as the planning and leadership is all volunteer.  Our club By-Laws and Standing Rules give more detail to our club operations.  And we wouldn't be where we are if it were not for our fine group of Officers!

There is no better way to make life-long friends who like motor homing!

Who can join and how much does it cost?

FMCA membership and ownership of Monaco motorized brand models manufactured by Monaco Coach Corporation, Royale Coach, coaches manufactured by Executive Industries and all Monaco coaches manufactured prior to 1992 can be members. Annual dues are $15.00 and there is a one-time initiation fee of $25.00. We have members from all over the United States and Canada. We are not regionally focused.

Where else can you get so much for so little?

What types of Caravans does the Chapter sponsor?

Monacos in Motion creates inexpensive caravans where everyone shares similar interests, desires good fellowship, and loves to drive to new places. Caravans vary in length from two weeks to more than four, with the norm being around two.  Fifteen coaches have been found to be the ideal number for maximizing fellowship, camaraderie and group interaction. Caravans have been conducted in most areas of the United States and a few have enjoyed portions of Canada. There is no standard type. Each caravan is unique, planned by one or more members, approved by the Caravan Coordinator, and open to all members on a first-come-first-served basis. There are a few absolutes and some general guidelines for caravans. For example, each caravan must be self-supporting and should contain at least three different stops (otherwise, it is really a rally). Travel distances between stops should not be too long.

Can I become a Caravan Leader?

Absolutely! In fact, we will GUARANTEE that you will get much more back in this club than you ever can put in.  If you have ever thought of yourself as a frustrated tour guide, well now is the time to show your stuff.  Even if your tour is of Hometown, USA, you might be surprised to learn how many people will sign up for your caravan.  So read our instruction manual and start planning!

How can we join?

Thought you’d never ask! Simply fill out the application and send it in. Join in the fun!
